May and June were fantastic months for me!

First, I want to thank all of my existing and new subscribers for being a part of my writing journey. I’m truly happy to have you here!

I had a great time at the Copperfield’s Books Author Fair https://www.copperfieldsbooks.net/. Tiffany and Shawn were amazing to work with, and they have the perfect little bookshop around! I met fantastic readers and authors from our area, sold a few books, gained several new subscribers for my newsletter, and I even joined a writing group with a few of my peers, which I’m looking forward to. The highlight of the event was having my good friends Anne and Tomeka stop by to offer their support and buy my books. Support like that means everything to authors! Thank you, Tomeka and Anne!!

To say it surprised me when the League of Romance Writers requested to add me to their Published Author’s List was exciting is an understatement. For most authors, it isn’t a big deal. For Indies, however, it’s a welcome acknowledgment that the industry and its clubs are taking us seriously. Believe it or not, there’s still somewhat of a stigma that follows Indies and self-published authors in parts of the publishing world. I’m always surprised and impressed when an organization openly supports their Indies. Thank you League of Romance Writers for adding me to your Published Author’s Page! I can’t tell you how excited I was to receive an invitation to the Tomball Women’s Group book club meeting on June 27th. They are great group of gals and I enjoyed my time chatting with them immensely. It was my first book club chat as an author, and I couldn’t have asked for a better bevy of beauties to enjoy it with. Thank you for including me. I had a blast!

I’m such a lucky girl! The Romance Writers of America has picked up another article I wrote to publish in their monthly magazine for July, 2023.

Don’t forget! June 30, 2023 is Stuff Your Kindle Day, when you can find lots of discounted and even free deals through Amazon. Then, Smashwords is holding its Summer Sale from July 1, 2023 to July 31, 2023, featuring discounts and free options. It’s a great time to read!
